I am incredibly honored and filled with gratitude to share some exciting news with you that, ImmuniForce: The Anaphylaxis Strike! has been officially bestowed with a BookFest Award. This recognition is more than an accolade. It is a celebration of the purpose, heart, and mission behind this story.

Receiving this award is deeply meaningful. It validates the countless hours of work, creativity, and advocacy poured into this project, but more importantly, it shines a light on the importance of food allergy education and representation in children's media. It tells our kids that their stories matter. That their experiences are real. And that they too can be the heroes of their own journeys.

But let me be clear. This award is not just mine. It belongs to every parent, every child, every caregiver, and every friend who has walked this path. It belongs to those who have faced the fear of allergic reactions, to every child who carries an epinephrine delivery device with courage, and to every advocate who raises their voice to build a safer, more informed world.

When I first set out to create ImmuniForce, I knew I wanted to do more than tell a story. Inspired by my two boys, I wanted to build a world where children living with food allergies and asthma and their families could see themselves reflected as heroes. I wanted to create something bold, engaging, and meaningful. A comic universe where awareness meets action. Where young readers not only feel entertained but also seen, heard, and empowered.

To all of you who have supported me, thank you. Your encouragement, belief, and love have carried me forward. Whether you read the book, shared a kind word, helped bring the ImmuniForce vision to life, or simply stood by me through the ups and downs, this recognition is for all of us.
